William Faulkner once wrote, “Always dream and shoot higher than you know you can do. Do not bother just to be better than your contemporaries or predecessors. Try to be better than yourself.” The LFNY Gala 2016 theme, “Dream Big – Faites Des Rêves Immenses,” inspired by his words, celebrates the importance for our students of having bold dreams for the future and of pursuing those dreams with creativity, courage and compassion. This aim is reflected in the Lycée Français’s mission of motivating young people to realize their fullest potential, especially in the service of others.
